All are welcome here
It is my firm belief that whether you are a beginner knitter, working on your first scarf or a skilled and seasoned knitter who knits intricate lace shawls and socks, every knitter is as valued, and their knitting as valuable as the next.
Knitting is a mindful and therapeutic practice. Some people enjoy the rhythm of the stitch and find relaxation in knitting relatively simple items. Others yearn to learn more skills with every item that they knit.
Both reasons for knitting; in fact ALL reasons for knitting are equal in my opinion.
For instance, I don’t usually specify a cast-on method in my patterns, as I don’t want anyone to think that they need to go away and learn it before they can start knitting. For all my patterns, a long tail / thumb method cast on will be fine. Most knitters learn this method early on in their knitting journey. But if you’re unsure, just ask!
If a pattern uses a stitch or technique that I think a relatively new knitter might not know, a photo tutorial or links to videos are included.
I’m also gradually going through my patterns adding video links for additional techniques. This is not because these techniques are necessary for knitting the item successfully. They are simply there for knitters who might want to learn
So whatever your skill level, I hope you find something of interest here.
Everyone is welcome!
