This baby bonnet knitting pattern is a simple yet classic design, perfect for both boys and girls. Knit entirely in garter stitch (every row knit), it creates a soft, warm, and cosy baby hat that stays securely in place with knitted ties. The bonnet is knit flat up to the crown shaping. At this point you can choose to continue flat and sew up a small seam or swap to double pointed needles and complete the shaping by knitting in the round. Instructions are given for both options.
The pattern includes five sizes, from birth to five years, with clear instructions, helpful photos, and links to video tutorials for the i-cord ties, neck edging, and other useful techniques.
A beautifully practical knit, this bonnet is an ideal project for keeping little ones snug in style.
